Summer Camp at Bartle was a great time. We had almost perfect weather at first followed by a storm that destroyed the Kentucky Troop’s pop up tent, then the heat came. We had an great turn out and a lot of merit badges were earned.
We also learned about the legend of Loose Bullet who took on Kentucky Tim. Just ask one of the scouts who was at camp to hear the story that lives on at Bartle.
Here are some photos from camp. If you have more photos please contact Scott Valler to upload them to the troop photo site.
The Orienteering Campout was a great campout! We met at Shawnee Mission Park and spent several hours doing an orienteering course and geocaching. Some of the patrols brought out there hammocks for sleeping.
Enjoy the pictures.
March was our patrol campout month. Each patrol went on their own campouts with themes they chose. A few patrols worked on their cooking merit badges.
Enjoy the photos!
Our April campout will be orienteering themed and will be held at Shawnee Mission Park. This is a primitive camping site with a fire pit, parking, and bathrooms that are about a 5 minute walk.

Now is the time to start planning your March Patrol campouts. Each patrol should plan and schedule their own campout. You may have your campout anytime during the month of March.
This is your time to get creative and do some of the things that are of special interest to your patrol members and that may be easier to accomplish with a smaller group. Have fun, do something unusual, and take pictures.
We want pictures and videos of your adventures.
