2008 - Summer Camp – 2008

Bartle Scout Reservation - Osceola, MO

Summer Camp will be First Session (June 6 thru 15, 2008)

at Camp Piercing Arrow and our Camp Site will be Fremont.

Visitor’s Sunday - June 8, 2008

As is tradition within Troop 459, we will be having a pot luck lunch for Visitors Sunday while at Summer Camp.

The troop will be cooking a hog & turkey along with baked beans for everyone.

The meal will start at 12 Noon.

The camp gates open at 10 a.m.

Allow at least 1 ¾ hour drive time.

Please bring a food item to round out the meal.

Bring enough to feed 12+ people:

Salad or side dish (families with last name A-L)

Dessert (families with last name M-Z)

Eating utensils and plates

Cold drinks for your family (non-alcoholic)

Directions

Take 71 South to Harrisonville

Take 7 South to Clinton

At the light where 7 goes to left, stay straight onto 13 South (to Springfield)

Go 15 miles on Hwy 13 to C (just before Lowry City)

Turn left onto C - go 12 miles to the stop sign – turn right

Go about 1/3 mile straight through Iconium (Scotts Store) – (road becomes U)

Take first right (across from the cemetery) onto Boy Scout Camp Road

Go about 1/2 mile, looking for the first right into Camp Piercing Arrow

Bring camp chairs, a hat and a stash of cookies or snacks for your Scout.

Troop 459 Sponsor is Colonial Presbyterian Church on 12501 West 137th Street, Overland Park, Kansas.
