Recruiting: Mike Dulle will be taking on the Recruiting Coordinator position
from Caren Howes. The need for a protocol for visiting Webelos
was discussed. This includes the procedure for greeting and
meeting with parents as well as getting the Scouts involved.
Follow up with the parents was key to the success of recruiting. |

Adult
Participation: A mandatory adult meeting has been scheduled for
Monday, 3/24. Pam Forson volunteered to send a letter to each
home.

Parent campout coverage, Merit Badge Counselors

High Adventure ‘08 |

Eagle Court of Honor has been scheduled for Sunday,
May 4, pending
church availability.
Troop Court of Honor is scheduled for
Monday, April 14 |

Campouts: Commitments will be taken at the Troop meeting on Monday, 3/3,
for the KATY Trail campout on 3/14-16. There may be need to
reschedule for 3/28-30 due to Spring Break schedules.
Campout Coordinator position needs to be filled. |

High
Adventure: Dates were confirmed for High Adventure, Gunnison,
CO for Saturday, 7/26 – Sunday, 8/3. An April 1st
deadline was set for commitments and deposits. Costs and
deposits are yet to be determined. It was clarified that this
is not a “family trip”, but is open to all Scouts and registered
adults. |

Trash Bag
sales: The price of
$10 per roll was established. Scouts may
purchase bags for $10 to sell on their own. The bags must be
paid for up-front. A credit of $2 per roll will be given to the
scout’s summer camp account.
When a scout
participates in sales at Colonial, or other venue, he will be
given credit of $1 per roll. The total number of rolls sold
that day divided by the number of scouts in attendance will
determine the amount of credit. |

Storage Area:
A plan will be submitted to the Church for construction of a
storage area for Troop supplies. |

Good Turn:
The Church has asked to borrow the Troop’s carports for a garage
sale 3/26-3/29. It was agreed that they would be made
available. Logistics on transport and set-up would be
determined.
An effort will
be made for the Troop to participate in the Blue River Rescue
environmental clean up on 4/5. |

Brownsea NYLT: It was determined
that an announcement would be made regarding Brownsea. Because
of the date, the day after summer camp, it was decided that
attendance would be difficult. |

Summer Camp Volunteers: Trading Post, Program Areas,
Camp Site Hosts, and COPE adult volunteers are needed for any
camp, any session. Part-time volunteers may also be
needed. Contact HOA office. |

Merit Badge Counselors: The Troop only has a couple
registered. An effort will be made to improve on this. |
| |
Additional Activity: Attending a Civil War Reenactment
at 169th & Holmes on 5/17 was suggested. |
| |
Website: A Troop “contact” page was suggested. Contacts to include
Committee Chair, Scoutmaster, and COR. Webmaster, Stephen Dunn, has requested info from the Troop to keep the site
updated. Campouts, announcements, etc. |
