VI.  Old Business - No old business was discussed.

VII. New Business - Next troop committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 8th at 6:00pm.

Inquiry from another Troop re joining our troop for Summer Camp at Bartle.  David Rudaitis related that Troop master of another Troop of about 10 boys out of Martin City, MO (affiliated w/ Mormon church – as part of church youth program boys required to join scouts) had expressed an interest in exploring notion of forming some form of sister troop arrangement with 459 in order for their boys to be able to attend Bartle (instead of Nash) and camp with us as guests of our troop.  General discussion of the matter was favorable to exploring the idea.  Aside from sorting out technicalities of other troop attending Bartle in some form of guest status, it was generally understood that Mormon Church may impose some restrictions outside the norm of 459 (e.g., including of women at camp) that would likely also need to be resolved.  ‘Motion made, 2nd, passed indicating that Committee open to further exploring the idea and to request that Scoutmasters of the two respective troops get together to discuss further.  It was anticipated that Jim Forson would provide summary of these discussions for Committee’s consideration at next regularly scheduled Committee meeting.  A further decision by the Committee as to how to proceed could be made at that time.

Respectfully submitted,

Dennis Anderson &
Jim Unruh
