The first campout of 2017 will be to “Trappers Rendezvous” on January 13-15th. The event has roughly 6500 scouters and centers around the boys trading items (swap meet) and many other activities. Read the Trapper’s Herald Guide which provides a lot of information about the weekend.
This is the first trip for our Troop to Trappers. This is an annual event held at Harvey County Park, near Hutchinson or Newton Kansas. The address for the park office is 2731 West Park Rd. Burrton KS 67020 (this will get you close) GPS location: 38.08686 N 97.58301 W

It is going to be very cold and the forecast is for snow and wintry mix. Please make sure your Scout brings rain gear, layers, hand warmers, extra boots and clothes, etc. This is a tent only event so prepare accordingly.
We will setup the car port with sides and a heater.
Cars will have to park out of the camping area so pack your gear so it is easy to carry.
